Truth seems to be in short supply these days. It’s not just in the White House or the US Republican-controlled, Mitch McConnell-rigged impeachment trial.
Right now in New York, running to replace Congresswoman Nita Lowey in CD 17, is a candidate who spent the first 7+ years of his 9-year-career as a NYS Senator “misleading”* his constituents about how and with whom he governed in Albany. And he, together with his 7 IDC cohorts, helped Republican senators stop any and all reproductive health bills from becoming law in NYS. They continued to do so until, in September 2019, 6 of the 8 IDC members were defeated in the Primary. In 2019, after the dissolution of the IDC, the Reproductive Health Act became law in NYS, under the leadership of Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins.
